Climbing As Medicine

A Therapeutic Women' s Climbing Retreat

Large basalt columns and cliffs on a sunny day at Smith Rock State Park

A Therapeutic Women' s Climbing Retreat

An immersive retreat designed to create community, safety, and healing through climbing, and is open to anyone who identifies as non-binary or a woman. Our approach invites you to engage with climbing not just as a physical challenge, but also as a mirror that can reveal patterns of fear, trust, resilience, and self-talk.

Through the powerful intersection of yoga, facilitated climbing, group processing, and family meals, this retreat will facilitate a supportive space for shared reflection and quiet integration. This retreat is for women who are interested in an embodied approach to growth, using climbing to stretch their comfort zone and therapeutic conversations to deepen their awareness.

Trip Details

Day 1
Arrivals between 12-4pm (we can do airport pick ups).  At 4pm we will start with an opening circle, goal setting, get to know eachother.  The guides will prepare a delicious healthy fresh dinner as you settle into camp.  Settle into lodgings (room or tent - whatever you booked).

Day 2 and 3
Each morning starts early with yoga and a buffet breakfast so we can pack in a full day of climbing. Explore different areas of the park, from our classic sport climbs, basalt cracks in the Gorge, to the welded tuff knobs and pockets on the Westside.  We give individual attention to each climber to identify their goals and personalize their climb.  On night 2 we will have a family style meal at the house and on night 3 we head to a local restaurant in Terrebonne for dinner.

Day 4
We will move out of lodging after breakfast and head out for a morning half day of climbing. The retreat will end at 12pm.
Folks are welcome to hire a private guide for the afternoon to continue to work on personal climbing goals and explore Smith Rock, while others may climb or hike on their own for the day.
Though the camp ends at 12, we offer rides to the airport at anytime of day.
