Chockstone Climbing Guides Smith Rock Oregon

Ages 8-11.
A day camp for climbing and getting outside, we will meet at the Bend Rock Club for climbing and games before we head out for the days adventure and explorations, two days at Smith Rock State Park climbing outside, one day at Newberry Cave and one day exploring one of the Cascade Lakes. We will finish at the gym and climb some more. Transportation, climbing gear, climbing shoes and healthy snacks included. Bring a sack lunch. Minimum 3 students to run, Maximum 10 participants.
Session 1: June 13th -17, 9:00 am – 3:30 pm
Session 2: August 22-August 25th, 9:00 am – 3:30 pm

One of the best things about summers is getting out and enjoying our long days. Join us for climbing out at Smith Rock from 4:00-7:00pm. We will have multiple ropes up, beginner to intermediate, for an evening climbing jamboree. The first night at the gym, we will teach new climbers belaying and get to know each other.
Session 1: June 29th 6:00pm-8:00pm at the Bend Rock Club July 6th and 13th 4:00pm-7:00pm at Smith Rock State Park.
Session 2: August 17th at the Bend Rock Club August 24th and 31st at Smith Rock State Park
Cost non-members; $115, Members $70
Minimum of three participants

Learn and practice essential self-rescue skills and prevention techniques for the single pitch climber. Presented by an AMGA Certified Guide. Intermediate-advanced clinic.

Intro to Lead Climbing Outside

Are you ready to take your indoor leading outside? At Smith Rock State Park we will cover the skills and special considerations for leading outside. Lead belaying, anchor setup and cleaning are also covered in this clinic intended to help you gain the skills to climb smart and safely. Minimum two people to run class. Sign up with a partner for date that best suits your schedule or join us for a scheduled clinic on August 21st 10am – 6:00pm at Smith Rock State Park
